Irish Pennants, in Navy parlance, are loose threads or bits of string that
need to be tied up or cut off or generally "squared away". For our purposes,
with this page, they are miscellaneous "threads" of interest, mostly submarine
related but generally Navy focused, that add further to the knowledge of the
topic or bring the subject to a conclusion.
