PigBoats.COM is a new web location to consolidate a number of differing but
related subjects concerning submarines and submarining.
I have moved all my web pages that use to reside at "rddesigns.com" to this
location so please adjust your bookmarks accordingly. As of December 31, 2007 "rddesigns.com" will no longer exist.
This page, right now, is a three person effort to bring you what we feel is the
best we have to offer of over 30 years of combinded actual submarine experience and many more years of
research. My friends and fellow submariners, Dave Johnston, DC1 (SS/SW)(Active duty)
and Rick Larson, MMCM (SS) (Retired), who have extensive resources and
knowledge bases, have their own "corners" to contribute their areas of expertise and interest to.
They have been given equal time on this page and have each written their own introductions to welcome you to
these pages and how they see and envision PigBoats.COM. What they would like to do is up to them, all I will be doing is converting it to HTML for your viewing pleasure.
There may be other contributors to this page as time goes on and they will receive their own "corners" too.
I will be maintaining my own pages and making regular updates to the
Looking Glass pages as well as
a number of other on going projects that I have neglected for far too long.
We hope that you will find the mix of the old and the newer and esoteric
submarine related material and trivia interesting. We welcome your feedback and ideas.
If you'd like to take advantage of our free BBS or sign our guest log just scroll
down to the "Crewsmess" Button in the side bar and click.
The Cressmess was where the crew hungout off duty and intermingled and watched movies
and read, played cards and other games to while away the long hours at sea.
Please use the appropriate email address for the person you would like to
